Some results
1. I got 22/23 for Chemistry Open Book Test (OBA [A = Assignment]). It’s quite sad because I got full marks for the previous two OBAs. :( (more…)

Irritated
Thanks to Bishan Active, I get to wake up early!
Ya, it’s 8am now, and I am already awake. It’s because there is some random event happening now at Bishan Active (which is just downstairs), and the emcee is very noisy! He’s using a mike already, and somemore, he’s shouting and screaming into the mike! I think he plans to wake the whole neighbourhood up.
Sigh, didn’t want to wake up so early actually… ’cause I need ample sleep before the concert. If this happens every Sunday morning, I’m going to cry.

Random thoughts
I think Rafflesians are generally kiasu.
Every now and then, I get classmates asking me on MSN on my progress when there is a test the next day.
And I also do the same thing, sometimes.
Weird.

Reality
I truly understand that everything in life happens inevitably. Therefore, I faced all the major examinations in this week with a positive attitude. And yes, Chinese Prelims are over, Maths CCT is over, and the 3-day-long Japanese Prelims are over too! xD
And yes, a lot of things in life are fated and cannot be avoided…

6.25 hours of test
Today, I managed to get past 6 hours and 15 minutes of Prelims!
8 to 10am, Chinese Paper 1 (Compo + Letter writing). 10.45am to 12.45pm, Chinese Paper 2 (Comprehension etc). 3 to 5.15pm, Japanese Paper 1 (Usage + 2 Compos).
Argh. Today was very tiring and my hands were almost sore. :\ And I don’t feel good about what I’ve done today. I have no confidence that I will score well for any of the Prelim tests. (more…)

Typical Singaporeans
Bishan Active, an integrated sports hub located at the big field in front of my flat, had its opening ceremony cum carnival this morning. After many many months of construction, it’s done, finally.
This morning, I got woken up by the emcees of the carnival. Argh, then I started mugging. I wanted to go down and join in the fun but couldn’t, because I had to study. Anyway, from what I could hear from where I was (at the 16th floor), it was very fun, and there were many activities, competitions, games and prizes.

Break, finally
Biology CCT yesterday wasn’t as tough as I’ve expected it to be. But still, I am not very confident of getting a good mark for it.
After the Biology CCT and 3rd lang lesson, I went home and ate dinner. After that, I went to sleep… at 6.30pm. And woke up at about 6.30am this morning for school. I realised that despite me having slept for 12 hours, I was still yawning in school. I think I need more sleep to compensate for the energy that I used for studying and taking tests.
By the way, I have forgotten a lot of what I’ve learnt for Biology. This is why I think forcing us to memorise facts is pointless; we just memorise for the sake of getting a good score. Now after the test, we obviously will delete all this stuff from our brain memory and save the space for better use.

Not enough memory space
Have been trying to cram Bio stuff into my head in preparation for Bio CCT tomorrow.
Managed to cram in more stuff after deleting the Physics and Geography information in my brain memory.
Despite so, I’m not very confident for the paper. I hope I can get at least a 70%.

Failing Memory
I think Chicken Essence is quite good! Normally, when I wake up in the morning, I would be yawning away. However, because of the chicken essence that I drank last night, the way I feel when I woke up this morning was quite different.

*shakes head*
1. Here’s something that I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post. For yesterday’s Chemistry CCT, I made a stupid mistake. The question asked whether the pH of the solution will increase or decrease. I know that the solution will become more acidic, but (more…)

Have not been blogging much. Have been quite busy. My life has been generally boring.
But well, how can my life be interesting with so many stuff coming up? (more…)

Suay
We had Chemistry Practical Test today.
One part required us to drop a magnesium ribbon into a beaker of HCl and stir for 6 minutes. Yes, I did that.
But however… (more…)

Monday Blues
I wonder why I always have Monday Blues.
Monday Blues are like… the undying urge to just continue sleeping on bed at 6+am… the tremendous friction between my feet and the ground, stopping me to go to school…
To make matters worse, there is PE on the first period of that brand new week. Argh. I hate it… When my body is still not 100% functioning yet after the weekend break, how do you expect someone to be physically active?!

Fun to be an Interviewer
Seriously, I didn’t know it’s that fun to interview someone!
Today, during CCA time, it was the leadership interview session. As a Sectional Leader, I got to sit in for the interviews, together with the EXCO and teacher-in-charge.

My tooth!
Did you know that actually the bottom half of one of my front teeth is actually FAKE?
This is because when I was in Primary 2, I fell down and broke it. Then the school dentist got it fixed by sticking some solid onto the tooth. I wonder how he ‘glued’ it on. LOL.
But now, after 7 to 8 years, that fake bottom half suddenly came off while I was eating lunch today! I wasn’t eating any tough stuff, but for some reasons, it just got detached from the real upper half… and I was chewing it up into smaller bits. =.=
Ahhhhh! Now I look very ugly with my weird front tooth. T_T

Internet Incident
Seriously, APCG week wasn’t that great. I have been keeping myself busy with CCAs, the e-learning work and the remaining project work.
A major event that happened was the failure of my internet connection, between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday night.

No school for the whole of next week!
o.O No school next week, because RI will be hosting Asia Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG) Youth Summit from 14 to 18 July. Don’t really understand what the whole thing is about though. :\
As such, I thought next week would be quite slack, but then it is e-learning. So instead of working in school using stationery, it’s working at home using computer. Oh, the good news is that 3rd language e-learning is on next week too, so yay!
Just finished all the Chinese work given, SS e-learning, Chemistry e-learning and one of the two Biology worksheets. Wanted to do Physics worksheets, but realised it’s too difficult, so I gave up. T_T
