CIP + Trip
March 2, 2009
Participated in a CIP project on Saturday.
It was an amazing race event called “Race to Health!” and the objective was to let participants know about the fitness facilities available in Bishan. It was initiated by some RI(JC) students, and I volunteered to be a group facilitator.
The participants were from schools like HCJC, Dunman High, etc… Somehow the word spread to them, so they participated, in groups of 4. I followed a group with HCJC students (and I realised that they are my primary school classmate’s classmates. Cool!)
Had fun following them to places like Bishan Active, Bishan Park and Macritchie. They are fun people, xD. Added them on Facebook after I reached home. It’s good to know more people from other schools, especially since they are of the same age.
In the end, they didn’t win. The winning team walked away with iPod Nanos. Second and third prizes were royal sporting vouchers. Cool prizes… There were two RI(JC) teams if I’m not wrong, ’cause they couldn’t get enough teams. If I knew the prizes were so good, I would have participated instead of volunteered, LOLLL. Anw, I don’t think I can win if I were to participate as I’m not that good in sports and the rankings were decided based on the points accumulated through the sports-related tasks at each station.
8am to 6pm spent on doing such meaningful CIP project. xD

2 weeks ago, it was the sign-up period for enrichment programmes like Middle East, Bicultural China, Bicultural India, Public Policy, Adventure Leadership, Meet-the-People Attachment programmes, etc. I signed up for Middle East, Bicultural China and Bicultural India. I had to write an essay in order to get into Middle East programme.
80+ people got into the prog and I was one of them. xD And for some reasons, I was one of the 31 who got selected to go for a trip to Abu Dhabi during March holidays~ It’s kinda surprising ’cause my essay was last-minute work and ya, I basically crapped out the whole thing… :\
Usually, there is a trip during year-end holidays, so this March trip is kinda one-off. Yup, so normally, they would select based on the studen’ts performance for the whole year, so for the March trip, they selected based on grades and the essay (which I think I didn’t really write very well). LOLL.
Quite looking forward to visiting Abu Dhabi! But that means 6 days of March holidays sacrificed.

LOL you’re now at Abu Dhabi! No wonder you never enter Habbo anymore, I thought you soooo busy until you do not have any time to chat with your lovely friends.
