Tutorials…

Tutorials. Finally back to the familiar style of teaching.
First tutorial was GP. The tutor looks amiable and sounds friendly. Hope she is how I think she should be. Everyone of us introduced ourselves one by one, and each of us had to also describe something interesting about him/herself. One of my female classmates (China PR, I think) mentioned that she knows how to sing Beijing opera, and performed a line for us with a very piercing voice. LOL. But she’s really very good at it. 2 of my classmates’ birthdays were yesterday and today respectively, so those are what’s interesting about them; and the tutor allowed us to sing birthday song for them. xD
A new classmate entered the classroom during the lesson. He got transferred to our class ’cause he dropped Raffles Academy Maths subject (an advanced version of the normal H2 Maths subject). But eventually, I think our class size will still stay at 25 ’cause another classmate of mine is gonna leave the class as she’s changing her subject combination… Then the ratio of guys to gals will become more skewed, 17:8.
The GP tutor said we should read newspapers and periodicals like the Time magazine. But how am I supposed to do that when I barely have time to read the daily newspapers? :\
For PE, guys and gals were separated. The guys had height and weight measurements, followed by pull-ups. I did 0. I think I’m gonna fail NAPFA again this year. But failing NAPFA means that we don’t get to take games electives like Frisbee (my fave~ :(), etc. Btw, I think I will be entering NS 8 weeks in advance ’cause I don’t think I can get silver for NAPFA. Sigh.
Maths tutorial was the last lesson of the day. I enjoyed the tutorial, ’cause our Maths tutor was able to put forth all the explanations clearly, making it quite easy for us to follow and understand. The current topic is Permutations and Combinations, and it’s quite tough. I spent 3+ hours to complete 7 questions. Tsk tsk tsk. Hope I can become better at it after tutorials. Tutorials are much more useful than lectures. Lectures should be scrapped and replaced by tutorials…

Ya true. But I’d rather have more tutorials. In a week, we have 2 tutorials and 2 lectures each for Maths, Chem, Phy and Econs. 2 tutorials are too few given that a tutorial only lasts 50 minutes, and after some dilly-dallying, it’s even shorter. I want more tutorials and less lectures~!
