10S06L

February 9, 2009

My class is 10S06L. 10 represents the year in which I will be graduating — 2010, while S refers to the Science stream. 06L is my class.

There are 25 peeps in my class. 16 guys and 9 girls. Perfect squares, LOLL.

Out of the 16 guys, 12 were from RI(S), 2 from Cat High, 1 from Zhonghua Sec and 1 from Victoria. Out of the 9 girls, 3 were from RGS, 3 from St. Nicholas Girls, 1 from Cedar Girls, 1 from St. Margaret’s and 1 from Dunman High.

Since today is the first day of school after Orientation, we were allowed to wear either Secondary school uniform or RI(JC) uniform. Most of the girls were wearing RI(JC) uniform, so I thought most of them should be from RGS. LOL, so I was quite surprised that most of the girls came in through JAE… and that if I’m not wrong, most if not all from my class who entered through JAE got 2 points for O Levels. Omg…

Our Civics Tutor (CT), i.e. Form Teacher, looks like a nice and amiable lady. Maybe looks do mislead, but Maths teachers aren’t usually that fierce, right? LOL. She went through some of the important rules we have to know, and proceeded on to let us play icebreaker game Whacko! That’s something that the CT of 10S06M didn’t carry out; but instead, he has already appointed the CT reps (monitors) and subject reps. Wah, so enthu.

We had CV period (session with our CT) from 8 to 9.30am. On Mondays, school officially starts at 9.30am with a flag raising ceremony. The two hours before that are set for enrichment programmes like Raffles Middle East programme. After flag raising, we had no lectures, and we are only allowed to leave school at 12.30pm, so we had recess together and had a chit-chat when I got to know lots more about my new classmates.

We continued on with some cool games like Indian poker, Polar Bear and Murderer. So after only a few hours of interaction, I have all my classmates’ names at my fingertips (my memory isn’t as bad as I thought it to be…) and I believe I will enjoy being in the class… since the very imba people who got 2 points aren’t that nerdy anyway. LOL.

Oh by the way, my Orientation Group (OG) mate Germaine baked muffins for each and every one of us in the OG! Thanks Germaine! <3090220094678Argh, I didn’t handle it properly so it became like that… :\
