JC Orientation – Day 2!

February 3, 2009

Learnt: 1. part of the extremely difficult Batch Dance (which is actually a couple [boy-girl] dance), which I have trouble remembering the sequences of the moves.

2. the very very interesting Moor Tarbet (my house) cheers! There are 3 cheers and 1 song. One of the cheers, MoorTar Bomb, is very funny… it starts off with a Whee (with hand moving in a parabola like how a bomb flies) and ends off with an explosion “Bomb” and then a sizzling sound with an action showing the dying down of the flame. LOLLL. Last but not least, the song is catchy ’cause it follows the tune of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. Interesting!

3. the very meaningful Batch Song! Oh, I love the lyrics and the melody. <3

After that, we had a mini amazing race. Before we headed off to our first station, we had to go to the field to get our OGL (OG Leader) who was having a paperbag over her head together with the OGLs of other OGs. We had to guess which one she was, and we got it right the first try, ’cause someone knew the colour of her shoes, LOLL.

Then we set off! The first area we scoured was Ang Mo Kio. Some OGs went to Bishan or Toa Payoh instead ’cause there were three areas available, and we got AMK. We went to many checkpoints in the area to complete tasks/games / answer questions, etc, to collect as many points as possible. We also took lotsa photos ’cause quite a number of the checkpoints required us to do so. Ya.

Then our next area was Fort Canning. I’d have preferred going to Esplanade or Chinatown. LOL, but we got Fort Canning. Basically, we did the same thing… camwhoring (or photo taking as required by some of the stations), and answer questions, etc…..

Eventually, we didn’t get to win any Swensens vouchers which were given out to top 5 OGs (out of a total of 60) with the most points. But well, luckily, we also weren’t the worst 5 OGs either who have to do forfeit tomorrow.

That’s all! I wanted to type longer by including some highlights of the Amazing Race, but since I have bad memory I’d need the photos we took to help me recollect the memories, LOLLL. Ya, hopefully I’d get the photos soon and get to mention some interesting highlights in my upcoming posts.

In any case, I’m turning in early tonight, ’cause I slept at nearly 1 last night due to insomnia… so I don’t wanna waste too much time blogging. In any case, I’m very tired ’cause I reached home at around 8.30pm after an OG dinner at The Cathay. xD

Oh, btw, someone from my OG asked me why I blog. Well, I told him ’cause it’d be cool If I could look back at some past moments through the blog 10 or 20 years down the road. xD

I realise I typed too much. ‘Cause in fact, I wanted to type just a few lines and head off to bed as early as possible. :\ LOL.
