What’s good, and what’s bad?

Would you rather have a very very very good (in terms of teaching) teacher who is arrogant and aloof, or an okay (in terms of teaching) teacher who is quite kind and pleasant most of the time but can be fierce and bitchy sometimes?

Geography Noob

I shouldn’t have taken Geography when I did better in History from Sec 1 to 2. I only got 18/30 for the recent Geography CCT which I got back today. 60% only, zzz. Average in class is 20, zzz. I’m a Geography noob. Argh.

Well, on a lighter note, I got 22/23 for Chemistry Practical Test. ^^ LOL.

Results

1. 58/70 for HCL Mid-Year Paper 1 Part II, aka Composition. No one else got back their papers except for me, if I’m not wrong. Coz my teacher wants me to type out LOL. xD 58 is quite high sia, ’cause I’ve never gotten 50 and above for my composition before! Woohoo!

2. 50/70 for Japanese CA2. Not up to my standard, coz I got 50/60 for the previous one. T_T But well, I think I’m the 2nd in class, 7 marks lower than Yee Siang. LOL. Wah, 10% less than the 1st sia. Tsk.

Headache

Woke up this morning with a headache on the top of my head. Could not bear with the pain so took a nap at 3+. I think it’s because I got hit on the head by a basketball on Friday.

But somehow, I managed to re-read the ERP book “Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard” with the little time awake. Re-read, meaning, I scanned through the book to recall some details and took down notes. This is for a Book Club Discussion on Wednesday. I wonder how it will be like. Sigh, I think it will not be okay, ’cause this is quite literary, and I suck at Literature.

I’m waiting for RICO June Camp and June Holidays to come. =D Coming soon…~

I cried.

I must really applaud foreign drama productions for their efforts. They got better scriptwriters than us, somehow.

I watched Strange Tales of Liao Zhai just now. There are 4 stories in the series, and each of them is love story about love and sacrifice. The episode I just watched was the last episode of Story 2. The female ghost in the story died because she committed suicide with the male lead actor due to love that is not accepted by her father. ‘Cause she’s from a rich family and the guy is just a poor actor. But somehow the guy didn’t die and she died. So she became a wandering spirit.

Then at the end of the day, her spirit dissipated ’cause she wanted to rescue the guy and another lady who loves the guy too. An evil rich guy started a fire and she just disappeared due to the intense heat from the fire after saving them. Then, I cried. T_T

Day wasted. Poor response.

RI Open House was held today. It took up my whole day, and I think it was a waste.

We practised at 9am until 11+am. Then we had to move our instruments and stuff from RJC to RI. It was a long distance… We started performing at 1pm. Throughout the 1 hour of performance, there were not many audiences. Sad…

We performed again at 2.30pm. And the response was worse than the first performance. Zzz. After that, we had to move our stuff back to RJC again. We were dismissed at 4.30pm after a debrief.

I wanted to do some work after reaching home, but I was so tired… after performing for a few people only. Sigh. Day wasted. Poor response for our performances. T_T

Got into Semi-Finals of Japanese Speech Contest! 日本語のスピーチコンテストのセミファイナルに入った！

So happy! Found out at about 9.30 pm that I got into semi-finals of the Japanese Speech Contest! And so did 3 of my classmates. Yay!

うれしい！9時半ごろに日本語のスピーチコンテストのセミファイナルに入ったことを見出した！クラスメートも三人入った。いぇい！

Physics and Biology CCT Marks

Yay. I got 27/30 for Physics CCT. Quite okay I guess, although I could have easily gotten full marks. T_T 4 ppl in my class got full marks, but their papers are not perfect ’cause they got marks from bonus questions. And, actually, the bonus questions (worth 3 marks total) were quite simple! I could have gotten full marks if I managed to either get the bonus questions right or get the simple compulsory questions right. A lot got close to full marks. I guess Physics is quite easy for quite a lot of us.

Surprisingly, I got 32/40 for the v difficult Biology CCT. I thought I could not get even a 30 sia. Highest in my class is 39/40. He got 3 marks deducted but got 2 marks from bonus question, so he could have gotten full marks if he didn’t answer a simple 1-mark question wrongly! Tsk tsk tsk! What a pity!

Disappointment + Delight

Went to watch Chinese Language Challenge 《华文智多星》 semi-finals yesterday. The recording (the show is not live, btw) was supposed to start at 7pm. We reached Mediacorp at around 6.40pm. This was my second time at Mediacorp, and we went by the same way to the theatre studio. Strangely, same as last time, we had to wait at the carpark outside the studio.

About Japanese 日本語について

Sigh. Japanese is getting very difficult. I have been persevering since Sec 1; a lot of my friends have quit 3rd language, but well, I’m still studying. And I take pride in learning Japanese because I love the language.

But, today’s Japanese CA2 was a killer. It was the toughest Japanese paper I have ever sat for. Zzz. I know I have lost a lot of marks already. Not in the best of mood. T_T

残念だ。日本語はとても難しくなっている。一年生から日本語に我慢してる；友達はたくさん第三言語をやめたけど、私はまだ勉強している。そして、日本語が好きなので、日本語の勉強をして大得意だ。

でも、今日の日本語CA2は僕を殺した。僕が受けたテストで一番大変だ。はあ…点がたくさんなくなったのを知ってる。よくない気持ちを持ってる。

Finished Biology Portfolio, Geography Practice Questions and English Essay Draft 2. Halfway through Biology Future Problem Solving assignment… on my own although it’s supposed to be pair work. T_T
