Deyi Band – Gold with Honours @ SYF!

Woohoo! Wasted the whole of today just to watch Deyi Display Band performance at National Stadium! My sister is one of the pro pro Deyi Display Band performers! She is a “colourguard” and she does stuff like flag juggling and umbrella spinning, LOL.

There were a total of 9 Display bands from 9 schools, and there were two Gold with Honours, a couple of Golds, a couple of Silver and one Bronze.

Deyi got one of the Gold with Honours! Wowwwww! Deyi’s Drum Major got the Best Drum Major of the Year! OMG! My mum said she always see the drum major practising very hard!

Last but not least, Deyi Band got the Best Displaying Band of the Year! Woohoo! LOL! My sister’s school is so pro, and she’s quite pro too! LOL!

Scholarship, Friendship, Artspace(ship? LOL)

Oh my god, I got Oh Thiam Hock Scholarship for Year 1, Top for HCL for Year 2, and I thought I wouldn’t be getting anything for Year 3. But somehow I got a Leong Chee Whye Scholarship for Year 3 (last year, which I will be getting this year). Congrats me? LOL. Never mind, ’cause I don’t know why I’m getting it anyway.

Shocking Ball and Sleeping Beauty

I finally had my first Physics lesson this week. Had a lot of fun in the lab with the Van de Graaff generator. If you don’t know what’s that, it is a machine that can produce large charges and very high voltages. Below is an image of it. =DD

Rock-climbing 攀岩 ロッククライミング

Oh yay. I had my final Rock-climbing PE lesson today. I am a little scared of heights, and the rocks are randomly scattered, so I suck at it. I only managed to climb till half of the whole 8 metres’ height. Tsk tsk. From next lesson onwards, it’s going to be NAPFA training. Argh, worse.

The Fate of a Grasshopper, and my Fate

During Chemistry lesson @ Chemistry lab, I had a scary experience LOL.

A grasshopper suddenly flew in and hit the moving ceiling fan. Oops. Then it continued flying and finally settled itself down at the working bench my partner and I were at. :|

I’m scared of insects, so I moved myself as far as I could away from the grasshopper. The grasshopper was walking about slowly, despite…

Oh, actually, my evil classmates went to trap it with a beaker… and that’s when we found out that the bottom part (abdomen? ‘Cause I didn’t take a close look) of its body is GONE! Yup, despite having left only his thorax and front legs, it was still moving about. Woooooooo, scary. If I were the grasshopper, I wonder if I felt pain, or not. LOL.

After the whole lab lesson, my classmates were playing with the grasshopper by trying to drown it in a flask of water… :| Tsk tsk, I often abide by the golden rule which states that one should not do onto others something which one would not like to be done onto one’s self… Imagine a giant grasshopper drowning you… o.O

Argh, bad progress report scores. 70% for HCL, 77% for Maths, 77% for Physics, 80% for Biology. If I’m not wrong though, I should be getting >90% for Chemistry, >80% for SS, ~80% for Geography and ~70% for English. o.O Tsk tsk tsk.

I must work harder!

Should I earn some $? Or should I not?

I am jealous. Very jealous of a particular friend of mine who will be earning quite an amount of money. She signed up to be one of the sales rep of a certain company, and simply by selling some books, she will get a 15% commission for every book sold. For every 20 books sold, the commission will increase by $0.50.

I am a little motivated by how much that can be earned. If I were to take on that job, I may be able to earn quite a lot because there is a huge market out there, from RI and RJC. If 5% of RI (approx. 100) were to buy the books, I will be earning $300. If 10% of RI (approx. 200) were to buy, it will be $850. o.O

However, I have asked around, and the response isn’t quite good. :( The books are novels (or novellas) by a local author, and the stories are quite localised, I think. Sigh, should I? Or should I not take on the challenge?

If I were to give this a miss, I will definitely feel not sad but very unhappy. Maybe people I know won’t buy, but the rest of the school population will buy? But if I were to give it a try, I am scared I won’t be able to sell many and the company will stop using me. :(

Ahhhh, what should I do?

I remember long long time ago, I typed with only my index fingers. Somehow, my contact with computer, or more specifically, internet, made me more proficient in typing. Gigglez.
