Scholarship, Friendship, Artspace(ship? LOL)
April 11, 2008
Oh my god, I got Oh Thiam Hock Scholarship for Year 1, Top for HCL for Year 2, and I thought I wouldn’t be getting anything for Year 3. But somehow I got a Leong Chee Whye Scholarship for Year 3 (last year, which I will be getting this year). Congrats me? LOL. Never mind, ’cause I don’t know why I’m getting it anyway.

International Friendship Day celebrations this morning. PRC scholars presented a morning exercise they do in China every day and a short skit and video on the mascots of Beijing Olympics. Vietnamese scholars sang a Vietnamese song (if I didn’t remember wrongly the song title was Vietnam my Homeland) and showed many many lovely photos of the places in Vietnam. Indian scholars presented a series of Bollywood song and dance, and HOD of CLE Mrs Chua and DHM Mr Kwok also joined in the fun! LOL! I <3 Mrs Chua; she’s damn funny! Malaysian scholars acted out a funny skit in which two Malaysians introduced Malaysia to two foreigners. Lastly, Indonesian scholars sang and danced in a funny manner.

Oh, recess came and it was the opening of ArtSpace at the Design Centre! The opening is the first event of myRIad (a series of music/art performances which include <AD> Chinese Orchestra concert on 31 August </AD>). Check out the pictures I have below for the banner (or “signboard”) of ArtSpace!
There were lovely pieces of art at Artspace! Here I have the pictures of some of them!

That’s my friend, Samuel! He drew a self-portrait of himself, gigglez~

There were also ceramics on sale! They cost either $2 or $10! But I didn’t buy. :X
There were also international food on sale! Japanese food, Korean food, French food, German food, Italian food and Indian food…… *drools* I bought Korean beef bulgogi! A few mouthfuls of it cost me 50 cents, so I bought double servings, gigglez! Yum! Look at the crowds of people rushing for the yummy food!
