Labour Day ≠ Labour-free Day

Labour Day is supposed to celebrate your fruit of labour. But Labour Day for me is the day when I can do more labour to finish up as much stuff as possible, as I have to prepare for the Higher Chinese Mid-Year Exam and Biology CCT coming up next week.

Anyway, most if not all holidays for me are ≠ labour-free day; so I can’t expect to be free of any labour in the middle of the busy year…

$10 + 1000 hits

LOL. Last week to this week was my school’s Humanities Week I think. There was a $10 Quiz daily from last Wednesday to this Monday/Tuesday. Each of the daily quizzes consists of 5 short but tough questions. 10 random correct entries each day will win the person $10. Yee Siang and I both participated in Day 1’s and Day 2’s quizzes. Ya, obviously, we submitted the same answer. Guess what? The results were announced today, and Yee Siang won in Day 1’s and I won in Day 2’s. LOL. It’s either cash and Popular book voucher. I hope it’s the former. Gigglez. Yay! $10!

OMG. My blog hits have reached 1000! Yay! Okay, there’s 0% artificial inflation by me, ’cause if I log in to WordPress, my visits to my blogs are not counted towards the stats, and I make sure that I log in before going to my blog. My blog started on 5th April… so in 25 days, I’ve got 1000 hits. That’s cool! LOL!

A busy weekend

o.O There will be a NAPFA test, a Chemistry CCT, a Maths TA and a UNSW Science competition tomorrow.

I’ve finished mugging for Chemistry (which includes memorising the tests for cations and anions, and reactivity series of metals and their nature) and also for Maths, which I actually just scanned through. o.O

I’m going to mug for Physics CCT (which will be on Tuesday) tomorrow! I’m also gonna have a final round of revision for Chemistry and am also thinking of going downstairs to try and do pull-ups… zzz.

Script for Japanese Speech Contest, Done! 日本語のスピーチコンテストのスクリプトは、してしまった!

After much procrastination, I have finally done the script for Japanese Speech Contest. Including punctuations, I typed 899 characters, which last around 4 minutes. The topic is “Generation Gap between Parents and Children”. I’ve submitted to my teacher for her to check through, hope it’s alright!

よくぐずぐずしたら、私はとうとう日本語のスピーチコンテストのスクリプトをしてしまった！句読を入れて、８９９字をタイプした。全部４分かがる。主題は「両親と児女間のギャップ」だ。スクリプトを先生に出してチェックされて、がんばります！

Phew!

Just a random post. I didn’t do NAPFA today! Yay, I got till next Monday to train my pull-ups. So far, I can only do 0 pull-up. o.O

Rainy day + Recognition day

Was raining very heavily this morning. The path from my flat to the bus stop was flooded. Before reaching the bus stop, I have to cross the road, and the roads are also flooded! Between the bus stop and the traffic junction, the short path there was flooded to the height of my shoe! OMG. My feet were soaked in water for the whole day. LOL. Here I have a photo I took from the bus I was in.

Great Grandma’s Birthday~

Went for great-grandma’s (mother’s father’s mother) 91st birthday celebrations at her house today. The day was quite pleasant, although I always dread going to great-grandma’s place.

“Chinese Language Challenge” Controversy 《华文智多星》起争议

An article in Lianhe Wanbao (17/4/08) criticises the Chinese Language Challenge 华文智多星 for allowing China students to dominate the competition. Schools are labelled with “kiasu” and the language ability of local students are questioned; are local students not able to reach the language standards of China students?

I’m gonna fail NAPFA.

This year will be the first year I’m doing Pull-ups for NAPFA.

But the problem is, I can’t even do a single one!

I went down to the fitness corner downstairs to try. The best one that I did was one with the bar level with my mouth… that is not counted as one pull-up, zzz. My chin has to touch the bar to be considered an acceptable one.

I’m so gonna fail NAPFA. T_T

Finally a breather

Maths CCT over. Geog CCT over. Relatively easy SS CCT over too.

Finally, I can take a deep breath! Yay! But errr, upcoming stuff are:

Chinese Speech (next week), SS Documentary (by Week 9), English Biography Project (drafting of letter by next week), Greenwave Project (report due soon…), Japanese Speech Contest (draft by next week), Philo/English Argumentative (in the next few weeks), Biology Pair Work (Week 9), Geography Fieldwork (to begin), Chemistry CCT (Week 7), Physics CCT (Week 7), Biology CCT (Week 8), Chinese Mid-Year Exam (Week 8)……………………

A Sad Day

I know I didn’t do well for Geography CCT. The questions asked are very difficult to me, and of course, not everything I studied and memorised was needed in the test. Wasted hours and hours the past few days studying and memorising. Arghhh.

Meaning of Education: Lost.

Lately, I have been thinking of the point of learning and getting educated.

Sick + Study

Wasted whole of yesterday.

So I studied very hard today for Maths CCT,

Despite me being sick when I woke up in the morning at 9.30am. I had runny nose and my body was heaty.

I sustained till about 4 pm, and had a nap for 2+ hours. When I woke up, I was perfectly fine already. =.=

If I had taken the nap earlier, I wouldn’t have to blow my nose and felt very terrible while immersing myself in difficult trigonometrical problems…

Didn’t study for Geog CCT (on Wed) and SS CCT (on Thu). Arghhhh, die!
